Any pests should be reported immediately to landlord or property owner. You can try putting bait down or setting traps. These can be bought from a local store. If the situation worsens you should contact a pest control service. 

If in the property, garage or other manmade structure you should block off entry points. If there is rubbish or food waste nearby then this could be their food source. The property owner should be notified of this. If it is neighbours waste you should contact them. Wear gloves and wash hands.
